In honour of the emergency first responders who keep the community safe, Caledon council Tuesday voted to have yesterday (Wednesday) proclaimed First Responders Day.
The motion, which council passed without comment, noted the Town’s support of a private member’s bill from Newmarket-Aurora MPP Frank Klees to have the day designated annually.
It also pointed to Caledon reputation as “one of the safest communities in North America due to the combined efforts of our police, paramedics and fire services.”
