Town looking for Walk of Fame nomineeThe Town of Caledon is accepting nominations for the 2014 inductee to Caledon's Walk of Fame. Since 1999, the Walk of Fame has been honouring local individuals who have made a significant contribution locally, nationally and internationally. Nominees must be Canadian citizens who have achieved local, national and international recognition for their paid or volunteer contribution in one or more of the following areas: • Arts and Culture — organizing, instructing or promoting arts and culture. • Sports and Leisure — community, sports, youth or other recreational groups. • Philanthropic and Humanitarian Causes — service clubs, social services or health care. • Environmental Initiatives — innovative programs or initiatives addressing environmental issues. Other categories may be considered as submitted. All nomination forms must be submitted to the Town by 4 p.m. Feb. 1. Nomination forms are available online at www.caledon.ca, from the Parks and Recreation Department at Town Hall, or by calling 905-584-9254. |
