Title: TOWN CELEBRATES WORK OF COPE

 Caledon councillors gathered outside Town Hall Tuesday morning with some visitors, including some of the canine variety, to raise a flag in recognition of the work done by Canine Opportunity People Empowerment (COPE) Service Dogs. The program aims to unleash potential in people with disabilities by placing them with trained service dogs. Students at Humberview Secondary School in Bolton are also involved with the training of the dogs. On hand for the flag raising was Lynn Acri from COPE, Doug Maskell from Humberview, Councillors Doug Beffort, Gord McClure, Annette Groves, Nick deBoer, Jennifer Innis, Johanna Downey, Barb Shaughnessy and Rob Mezzapelli and Mayor Allan Thompson, along with Edward Galbo, Barb Koetsier and Jackie Tugnett of COPE.Photo by Bill Rea
