Top two teams stung in most recent senior action

The bottom two-thirds of the Caledon Senior Hockey League standings were shaken up last Monday as the top two teams were taken to the woodshed for spankings.
Rutherford Global Logistics made it two wins in a row over the league leaders as they downed first-place Bolton Chiropractic Centre 5-3. That came one week after Rutherford defeated second-place Jiffy Lube Oilers. Jiffy Lube remained in a funk, losing 7-4 to Heart Lake Insurance. Yale Industrial Trucks outlasted Fines Ford Lincoln in a scoring derby, winning 10-7 to jump up to fourth place and drop Fines to the basement.
Rutherford 5, Bolton Chiropractic 3
Rutherford spread the scoring around, as Greg Frangakas, Mike Gasparini and Garry Hoxey each had a goal and an assist.
Jim Horan and Rich Petrie scored the other goals. Single assists went to Frank McKay, Steve Tarasco, Jeff Boyles, Dan Tasson, Larry Pevato and Greg Twinney.
Stefan Pacula, Nick Pistilli and team sponsor Mike Shore scored for the Bonebenders. Dave Armstrong, Gary Moss, Nick Taccogna and Bill Moyer each had one assist.
Heart Lake 7, Jiffy Lube 4
Mike McNamara and Victor Marrelli had the hot sticks for Heart Lake as they each finished with five points.
McNamara scored three goals and added two assists while Marrelli set up three goals and scored two. Bob McHardy scored a goal and added an assist and Ian Kerr scored the other goal. Team sponsor Chris Spilar also had a big night with three assists. Luch Pinarello had two assists.
Gary Hughes led Jiffy Lube with two goals and an assist. Santo Gazzola and Mark Perrin scored the other goals. Bret Smith and Steve Sanderson had two helpers each with singles going to Frank Cirone and Pete McNamara.
Yale 10, Fines Ford 7
It was an ugly night for the goaltenders and the scorekeeper.
James Heenan wound up as the top point-getter with three goals and four assists. Rick Geiger matched Heenan with a hat trick and added two assists. John Pitsadiotis bagged two goals and two assists. Tony Dinis scored one goal and added an assist. Brian Samuel scored the other goal. Jim Schaefer and Greg Collins both set up three goals while Bruno Fracassi and John Castellucci each had two assists.
CSHL rookie (Good) Tony Curcio almost singlehandedly carried Fines to a win, but could not overcome a leaky defensive game. Curcio scored six of Fines' seven goals. Peter Kuchar and Jim Rogers provided the most offensive support, with four and three assists, respectively. Howard Wight scored the other goal. Mark Milton celebrated his return from the disabled list with two assists while singles went to Joe Palumbo, David Shoalts and (Bad) Tony Calabro.
