Toby Jug Athletes of the Week — Feb. 23, 2017


Mayfield Secondary School Tristan Peterson The 17-year-old plays left side power on the senior girls' volleyball team, which has made the playoffs with an undefeated record. She also played on the school's flag football team last year. Away from school, she plays out of the Pheonix Volleyball Club in Toronto, and is planning to play next year in university in Ottawa, studying political science. The Grade 12 student lives in Caledon.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Jordan Grella This Grade 10 student played right wing on the school's varsity hockey team, which won at ROPSSAA. He contributed three goals and two assists in the playoffs. He said he might play field lacrosse at school in the spring. Away from school, he plays AAA hockey for the Don Mills Flyers, and he used to play house league lacrosse in Georgetown. The 15-year-old lives in Caledon East.
