He served in some of the most ferocious fighting of the war. The Legion of Honour is France's highest honour, dating to the time of Napoleon, Tilson observed. “More than ever, we owe it to our veterans, and especially those who gave their lives for Canada, to honour and remember their service and sacrifice,” he said in the House. “This honour is a fitting tribute to Mr. Heber from France for his role in liberating that country.” “This year, as we mark the 100th anniversary of the start of World War I, the 75th anniversary of the start of World War II and the 70th anniversary of D-day, it is to Canadians like Mr. Heber that we must pay tribute,” he added. “His service, dedication and sacrifice will never be forgotten.” --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2014-12-18 14:48:59 Post date GMT: 2014-12-18 19:48:59 Post modified date: 2014-12-18 14:48:59 Post modified date GMT: 2014-12-18 19:48:59 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
