Theft investigation results in arrestThe investigation into a series of thefts from unlocked vehicles and break-ins through unlocked garage doors in the last month in the southwest area of Caledon has resulted in charges against a 40-year-old man from Georgetown. Caledon OPP reports the incidents took place between Jan. 4 and Feb. 5. The Street Crime Unite arrested the man Feb. 5. He was charged with 16 counts of theft under $5,000, 12 counts of break and enter and six counts of trespass by night, as well as numerous counts of Breach of Probation. Police are asking anyone with information about this continuing investigation to contact them at 905-584-2241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). |
