And actors are like secret agents, making us feel what they're feeling through the subterfuge of costume, voice, and story.” Culture Café at Alton Mill will be presenting Thespionage April 24, from 7 to 9 p.m.. It will be an evening of original and classic monologues and short one-act plays. The event will feature actors Pam Hewitt, Andy Ingram, Barb Stasiw, Kristian Warburton, Andrew Welch and Jay Wilson. Tickets will be $10 at the door. The Humber River Shakespeare Company will be putting on The Merry Wives of Windsor outdoors in the Annex July 16. There will be a sneak preview of the play at the Cuisine-Art Festival, June 20 and 21. Finally, Hamilton's Gallery on the Bay Productions will present Assisted Living, a play in one act, written by David Laing Dawson, starring Liz Inman and Joe Skilton. It will be performed Aug. 28 and 30. “The play's the thing,” Posner said. “It takes us back to our childhood, when play-acting was how we lived out our dreams. That impulse gets buried as time goes on, but it never leaves us.” For more information, got to www.altonmill.ca --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2015-04-15 15:49:46 Post date GMT: 2015-04-15 19:49:46 Post modified date: 2015-04-16 09:36:34 Post modified date GMT: 2015-04-16 13:36:34 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
