Some of that will be explained at the next meeting of the Caledon East and District Historical Society, which will be June 26. The speaker will be Gordon Good, chair of the archives committee of the Association of Ontario Land Surveyors. He's expected to discuss such issues as the difference between a concession and sideroad, what tools and methods surveyors used in the past, what a “baseline” refers to, how big a lot is, etc. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at St. James' Church Hall in Caledon East. Members and students will get in free, while visitors will be charged $3. --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2013-05-29 16:05:29 Post date GMT: 2013-05-29 20:05:29 Post modified date: 2013-05-29 16:05:29 Post modified date GMT: 2013-05-29 20:05:29 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
