There was a large crowd out Sunday on the grounds of the Mayfield Recreation Complex for the 14th Annual C3 Kinetico Kids of Steel Triathlon. The C3 elite triathlon team put on a demonstration of the sport.

Councillor Allan Thompson was representing the town as he joined C3 Head Coach Barrie Shepley before the three to six-year-olds started to compete. “Please make sure you have fun,” was Shepley's admonition to the kids.

Belfountain area Olympian Brittany Webster was among the celebrity athletes on hand for Sunday's triathlon.

The competition started in the pool, with parents allowed to accompany the young participants.

Frank Svab or Caledon East was accompanying his daughter Dalma, 5, along the cycling portion of the race.

Kristen Proulx of Erin was helping Charly, 2, find the finish line.
