She said the team was short-handed for its first game, but things are looking good. “We've a really good team this year,” she said. She was also part of the school's mixed curling team. Away from school, she volunteers as a soccer coach in Caledon East. The 17-year-old lives in Brampton with her parents Sue and Rich Lang. St. Michael Catholic Secondary SchoolHailey MazzatentaThis Grade 9 student is getting ready to be a defender for both the junior and varsity girls' soccer teams, already contributing to tournament wins for both. She also played on the flag football team in the fall. Away from school, she's a rep player for the Vaughan Soccer Club. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Lillian and Gerry Mazzatenta. Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary SchoolMelissa McCallThis 16-year-old is a left defender for the senior girls' soccer team, and she said things are looking “pretty good” for the coming season. She also played defence for the varsity girls' hockey team which made it to OFSSAA. In the community, she plays in the Caledon East Minor Hockey organization, and she's also a member of the Twisters Gymnastics Club in Orangeville. The Grade 11 student lives in Caledon East with her parents Rob McCall and Michele Marple. Humberview Secondary SchoolEmily BabcockThis 17-year-old is a mid-fielder on the varsity girls' soccer team, and she said things are looking good for the coming season. In the community, she also plays soccer for the Brams United Angels.
