Spring Fair in Mayfield West SaturdayThe Mayfield West 2016 Spring Fair, presented by RY Consulting, will be this Saturday (April 23). It will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Southfields Village Public School. This free event will provide a ton of fun for the entire family. Kids will get to visit the KidZone with fun games, activities and scheduled events, such as a Sing-A-Long with Cinderella, Spring Time Story Time with Caledon Public Library, Cardio Kids Drumming session with Caledon Parks and Recreation and Interactive Musical Entertainment with Caitlin for Kids. Parents will get to visit with more than 30 local vendors and crafters offering amazing and unique items just in time for Mother's Day and Father's Day. The Spring Fair, along with Kumon, hosted a Junior Vendor contest for Caledon students in Grades 4 to 8, and the winning students will be selling their handmade goods in an effort to raise funds for their selected charities. The vendor who raises the most will be announced as the grand prize winner, bringing home a brand new Samsung Tablet. Weewatch also joined with the Spring Fair, calling on Caledon parents to enter into the Aww-some Baby Photo Contest. The top six baby photos will be on display during the fair awaiting final votes to decide who will be the winners. In partnership with the Town of Caledon, families will also be able to enjoy outdoor activities on the school grounds with the Walk, Bike and Roll fair. Families will enjoy learning about enhancing their lifestyles and participating in the Bike Safety Station and Guided Community Walk along Etobicoke Creek. In lieu of admission and in support of Caledon Community Services, the Spring Fair will be hosting a food drive. All guests who bring in a non-perishable food item will be entered into a raffle boasting more than $1,500 worth of prizes donated by local vendors and entrepreneurs.
