Golfers put their skills to the test for a good cause on Tuesday.

On August 6, the second-annual Cassie's Place charity golf tournament was held at Glen Eagle Golf Club in Bolton. The tournament was held to raise money for Cassie's Place, which is a home away from home for individuals with disabilities and offers numerous enriching activities like yoga and swimming.

All 144 spots available in the tournament sold out, and Cassie's Place volunteer Joe Sassine said it was an amazing show of support.

“If you asked me three years ago if Cassie's Place would be where it is now, I don't know if I'd believe you… but we have the right volunteers, our message is being heard and people believe in what we are doing,” said Sassine.

Support from sponsors was also great for this year's tournament, said Sassine. There were two presenting sponsors for the tournament: Rocky Da Realtor and Rice Group.

“The sponsors came through big time for us this year,” said Sassine. (A full list of tournament sponsors is available at here: cassiesplace.ca/2024-golf-sponsors)
