Shoppers Drug Mart’s Tree of Life donates to CMHA/Peel

Canadian Mental Health Association/Peel Branch has announced that it has received $2,218.00 from a local Shoppers Drug Mart from their Tree of Life campaign.
The Tree of Life campaign supports local women's health organizations. Last year, more than 1,230 Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix stores participated and benefited 450 local women's health organizations nationwide. Shoppers Drug Mart's Tree of Life campaign is national in scope, yet locally based, with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated to women's health organizations in individual communities and neighborhoods that offer women resources to improve and maintain health in mind, body and spirit.
“We are delighted to have been chosen by a local Shoppers Drug Mart to be the beneficiary of donations collected at their store for their Tree of Life campaign,” CMHA/Peel acting CEO Christine Devoy commented. “The money will be used for Women's Wellness Evenings for our clients. As our clients often don't have the resources to have their hair or nails professionally done, or to treat themselves to a massage, etc., we will use the money to offer this wellness experience to them. We are planning to do this in partnership with volunteers to maximize the donation.”
Canadian Mental Health Association/Peel Branch has been serving the Peel community for more than 50 years, working towards the goal of achieving mental health for all.
