And the second win of the campaign for the Fines Ford Lincoln squad means they're gaining ground too. Last Monday's action saw Rutherford Global Logistics get a shorthanded goal with 20 seconds left in the game to let them grab sole possession of first place. Peter Coghill was the hero at Don Sheardown Arena. He scored on a breakaway to pull Rutherford into a 2-2 tie with Bolton Chiropractic Centre. That, coupled with a 6-2 loss by George's Arena Sports to Jiffy Lube Oilers, allowed Rutherford to move into first place with nine points and a 4-2-1 record. In the other game, Fines Ford dropped Yale Industrial Trucks 5-3. Rutherford 2, Bolton Chiropractic 2 The Chiropractors seemingly had a win in the bag, especially when Rutherford took a penalty with 32 seconds left in the game. But Coghill and Jim Horan cashed in for the second time on some sloppy defensive play. Horan set up the tying goal by Coghill, a turnaround on Rutherford's first goal, which was scored by Horan from Coghill. Mike Shore and John Crossley scored for the Chiropractors. Single assists went to Paul Speck, Jeff Boyles, Larry Pevato and Rick Agar. Jiffy Lube 6, George's 2 Team rep Rich Petrie is on fire this season, and with two goals and two assists, he once again led Jiffy Lube to a win. Bill Doherty was right with him with a goal and two assists. Mike McNamara chipped in a goal and an assist while sponsor Brian Fetterly and Jim Moyer had the other goals. Robert Masutti, Marty Madensky, Dom Orazio, Tony Dinis and Joe Palumbo all had single assists. Dave Smith notched a goal and an assist for George's, with Bret Smith getting the other goal. Maurizo Giorgio, Ron Sampson and Rick Geiger each had one assist. Fines Ford 5, Yale 3 Dan Labine scored twice for Fines while Jack Gibson and Mike Gasparini each had a goal and an assist. Ian Kerr scored the other goal and Dom Ierullo clicked for two assists. Single assists went to Frank McKay, Santo Gazzolla and Chris Spilar. Steve Tarasco and Nick Taccogna both grabbed a goal and two assists for Yale. Scott Woodcock scored the other goal.
