Region will be on holiday scheduleRegion of Peel offices and non-emergency services will be closed for the holidays from Dec. 26 to Jan. 3 inclusive. There will be no waste collection Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 due to the statutory holiday, and that all recycling, garbage and organic collection will be one day later those weeks. There is a waste exemption period on residents' scheduled garbage collection day during the weeks of Dec. 27 to 30 and Jan. 3 to 6. Residents may place unlimited amounts of acceptable excess garbage at the curb, without garbage tags, on their scheduled collection day. Check peelregion.ca/waste — “when does it go” — for your collection dates. All Community Recycling Centres (CRC) will be closed Dec. 25 and 26, as well as Jan. 1 and 2. CRCs will be open from 8:30 a.m. to noon Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The CRCs will operate on regular hours from Dec. 27 to 30, and return to regular hours Jan. 3. Check peelregion.ca/waste for CRC locations and hours. Real trees (free of decorations, wire, stands, etc.) will be collected if they are placed at the curb on regularly scheduled recycling collection days during the weeks of Jan. 9 and Jan. 16. Trees taller than three metres (10 feet) must be cut in half. Check peelregion.ca/waste — “when does it go” — for your collection date. Access Peel will be closed Dec. 26 to Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. Assessment: Ontario Works, Peel Access to Housing and Service Access-Early Learning Services will close at noon tomorrow (Friday) and reopen Jan. 3. Breastfeeding Clinics (Brampton and Fairview) will be closed Dec. 23, 26, 27 and 30, and Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. The Breastfeeding Clinic (Meadowvale) will be closed Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, as will the Breastfeeding Contact Centre. Children's Services Operations will be closed from noon tomorrow and will reopen Jan. 3. Dental Services at Peel Public Health Clinics will be closed Dec. 27 and 27, as well as Jan. 2. Employment Resource Centres will close at noon tomorrow, reopening Jan. 3. Healthy Sexuality Clinics (Fairview, Brampton and Malton) will be closed from Dec. 23 to Dec. 27 and Dec. 30 to Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. The Meadowvale Health Sexuality Clinic will be closed Dec. 26, 27 and 30, as well as Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. Human Services Reception will close at noon tomorrow and reopen Jan. 3. Needle Mobile Van Exchange Program will be closed Dec. 26, 27 and Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. Peel Living will be closed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. Public Works Reception will be closed from Dec. 26 to Jan. 2, reopening Jan. 3. Rent Supplement will be closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1, and open Jan. 3. Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA) will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. PAMA will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Regular service will resume Jan. 3. Clients can drop off water samples directly to the Public Health Ontario Laboratory — Toronto location located at 81 Resources Rd., Etobicoke. Dec. 24, regular service will be available from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m., and taxi service will be available from only from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Book by Dec. 23.
