Dranitsaris herself was not there, but there were others ready to help out, including her mother Janet Muir and Andrea Bates from Mississauga. Her father Steve reported the effort raised $7,811.30 (including the Walmart matching grant), and she has raised more than $12,000 this year. The total for seven years is nearing $77,000.
