Title: Radford seeking Regional seat in Ward 2

A three-year resident of SouthField's Village is getting into the political arena.
Mark Radford has registered to seak the Ward 2 Regional seat on Caledon council in next month's municipal elections.
He said this is his first try for elected office.
“I've always had a passion and interest in politics,” he said, adding that's one of the reasons why he moved to Caledon. “I thought this would be a good place to make a difference.”
Radford, who manages a sales territory for a maintenance supply company, said he's familiar with the problems and issues involved with public housing, which is why he decided to seek the regional seat his first time out.
“I just think I could have more of an impact at the Regional level,” he remarked.
Radford is married with two children and a puppy.
He reflected confidence in his chances of election.
“I think at this point it's wide open,” he said. “There's no incumbent.'
“I'm just going to work hard, getting out and talking with people,” he added.
