Police looking out for phony U.S. bills


Caledon OPPā€ˆare looking for a couple of men who apparently passed counterfeit American money in a Bolton fast-food establishment.
Their investigation revealed that a man entered the restaurant, ordered a food item and paid with a $20 U.S. bill, then left. Minutes later, a second man entered the restaurant and placed an order also paying with U.S. currency. The owner discovered the currency used in both transactions was counterfeit and contacted police.
The first suspect is described as a black male in his early 20s, six feet one inch, about 190 pounds wearing a black Toronto Raptors' baseball cap, shoulder length dreadlock hair, three-quarter length black winter jacket. He also has three vertical lines intentionally shaved into his right eyebrow.
The other suspect is a black male in his early 20s, about six feet, 200 pounds, wearing a medium length black jacket, short black hair, black jeans, large silver necklace and a short black beard.
Police are asking anyone with information about this counterfeit investigation to contact them at 905-584-2241 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
