There was plenty of activity last Thursday night at Humberview Secondary School. It was the annual night for Grade 8 students who are planning to attend the school next year and their parents to see some of what high school life is like. There were lots of displays in the various class rooms. Science teacher Edmund Sestini had an entertained audience as used this pumpkin to demonstrate some experiments.

Music teacher Tanya Nelson was conducting this rehearsal of the Intermediate Wind Ensemble.

Members of the Grade 11 percussion class were hard to beat with this demonstration.

Allan Drive Middle School Grade 8 student James Smissen was trying out some of the robotics equipment at Humberview.

Student Lexi Bartello was serving up mini cinnamon buns in the family studies area of the school.

The six-piece jazz group Get Cooking was helping to provide some of the entertainment in the halls at Humberview. The members include Eric Deave, Matt Vainer, George Kell, Tyler Gillis, Zack Clifford and Matt Boettger.

These three musicians, Hayley Maskell, Matthew Strong and Stefani Matis were providing entertainment.

Art students Urja Nandivada and Max Minuzzo were woking on creations during the open house.
