<content-encoded><![CDATA[Once again there was a quiet, non-denominational service of “quiet reflection, thanksgiving and remembrance” attended by about 60 people at the heritage designated, Bolton Cenotaph at 11 a.m. Nov. 11.
Three years ago, there were about 40 disappointed people when there was no attending minister or small formal service. After one telephone call, Rev. Riscylla Walsh Shaw was in attendance last year and this year Rev. Ruth Anne Ward (both of Christ Church Anglican) led a short, but meaningful, service for those in attendance. I am sure we are all very grateful for their support on this important day.
It should be noted that Rev. Shaw is now the Bishop Elect of the very large Diocese of Trent-Durham.
We all wish her well in that new post.
