Whether you're looking for a fun night out, or you're a sommelier-in-training, you might want to check out an upcoming wine-themed event from a local non-profit.

On June 22, Palgrave Rotary will host its annual Wines of the World event from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Palgrave.

It's a special year for the Wines of the World event, as Palgrave Rotary is marking its milestone 25th year of hosting it. Each year, funds raised from the event support charitable initiatives in Caledon and around the world.

Each year, hundreds of people attend the event and are able to sample over 50 wine varieties from around the world.

For those with different tastes, there's also a selection of craft beers and ciders available at the event.

This year's Wines of the World will be catered by Absolute Catering, a company based out of Mono that was established in 1994.

There will be live music at the event from local country artist and songwriter Jessica Sole.

HomeJames-Caledon, the local non-profit that gives people safe rides home in their own vehicles, will be on-site at Wines of the World to ensure that everyone gets home safely.

Tickets for Wines of the World are $85 until June 1, when the price will increase to $100. For those not looking to drink any alcohol at the event, alcohol-free tickets are being sold for $40.
