The Inglewood Community Centre was jam-packed last Friday and Saturday.

On November 22 and 23, the Bethell Hospice Holiday Bazaar was held there and many residents dropped by to purchase all kinds of holiday goodies like whipped shortbread, cinnamon buns, Christmas cookies, granola, gingerbread, and jams and jellies.

There were also vintage item tables and silent auctions.

Bethell Hospice would like to extend a sincere thanks to Bonnie Klaassen and the Bazaar Organizing Committee for their fantastic job in setting up and running the event.

Kelly Stronach, Bethell Hospice Senior Manager of Marketing and Communications, said early results show the Bazaar raised over $21,000 for the Bethell Hospice Foundation.

“Special shout-out to Elizabeth Birnie and her crew of elves who organized the Great Bethell Baking Tent,” said Stronach, noting this tent was new for 2024. “The aroma in the tent was exquisite as it was fully stocked with holiday favourites.”

Stronach said support from local fundraisers helps to keep the doors of Bethell Hospice open and its programs and services free for those in need.

“Should you have an idea for an event or fundraiser, please reach out to the Foundation Office at 905-838-3534,” said Stronach.
