Organizers appreciate support

The cold weather couldn't keep people away from SnowFest.
It takes an army of volunteers, wonderful sponsors, community groups, service clubs, churches, schools, regional fairs, suppliers, dogs, horses and Caledon's finest firefighters to make SnowFest a great community winter event. It should also be noted that SnowFest also draws a tourist crowd. Our onsite survey indicated that 48 per cent of the people who came to SnowFest came from outside of Caledon. It is great for our Fairboard to be able to draw people from afar, as it puts Caledon Fairgrounds on people's radar for our other events, specifically Caledon Fair, June 6 to 8, and Canada Day Strawberry Festival, July 1.
The Caledon Agricultural Society is a registered charity, made up of all volunteers with 100 per cent of the proceeds from SnowFest invested back into the revitalization of the Caledon Fairgrounds.
At the peak of the day, we appeared to have a record crowd and everyone was having a great time. When the wind came up it eventually blew everyone away; chilled but with great memories. From the Caledon Agrigultural Society, thank you to those who help make SnowFest happen and thank you to those who attended our event.
