One year to go to the GamesToday (Thursday) is Pan Am/Parapan Am Day in the Town of Caledon. Town council passed a motion to that effect at Tuesday's meeting, recognizing the fact the Games are due to open July 10, 2015. The Town will be hosting a celebration to mark year remaining before the Games this Saturday (July 12) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Caledon Equestrian Park. This is the facility where equestrian events for the Games will be taking place. The free festivities will offer something for everyone, as those attending will be able to participate in activities that represent the Pan American countries that will be taking part. Caledon Equestrian Park is at 200 Pine Ave. in Palgrave and has a fully functioning restaurant on-site where signature food items from Pan American countries will be featured. |
