National Wildlife Centre holding gala

The National Wildlife centre will be holding its inaugural gala fundraiser Oct. 1 at Devil's Pulpit Golf Club.
It will be a semi-formal event, running from 5 to 9 p.m., and will include guest speakers, music, entertainment, fine foods and a silent auction.
The speakers will include Mike McIntosh, founder of Bear With Us; Dr. Sherri Cox, founder of National Wildlife Centre; and Hope Swinimer, founder of the Hope for Wildlife Society.
The goal is to raise funds to build a permanent wildlife hospital. The Centre operates the only accredited wildlife hospital in Ontario; a mobile hospital that travels to wildlife rehabilitation centres around the province providing medical and surgical care to the wildlife patients.
Tickets to the gala are $125, and can be obtained by going to https://nationalwildlifecentre.tickit.ca/
