One of the attractions Saturday was a display of animals from the Amazing Rain Forest. Virana of Amazing Rain Forest introduced Ethan Smercina, 5, from Caledon East, to Rocky, the ball python. Acting Caledon mayor Richard Paterak welcomed people to the show at Friday night's opening ceremonies, accompanied by Chamber of Commerce Board Chair Valerie Arnold-Judge, Dufferin-Caledon MP David Tilson and MPP Sylvia Jones.Photos by Bill Rea Olympic Gold Medalist and Caledon resident Caleb Flaxey was on hand for the first night of the Caledon Home and Lifestyle Show, showing the gold medal he received as a member of the men's curling team at this year's Olympic Games in Sochi. Julia De Caria, 9, and her brother Luca, 7, of Bolton were among those who got to see the medal close up. Tav Schembri of Re/Max Realtron Realty Inc. was joined at his booth by a new member of his team, his daughter Rosanna, who just got her real estate licence. Brenda Alderdice and Diva Lily were in charge of the Downsizing Diva booth. Karen Atkinson, Maureen Bruce and Sarah Fleming had plenty of information to offer at the Fleming Realty booth. Warren Darnley and David Bertucci were in charge of things at the Green Clean booth. Bolton resident Alexys Maurice, 11, led the singing of O Canada at Friday's opening ceremonies. Members of Caledon Coyotes Girls' Hockey Club were helping provide the food at the show Saturday. Executive member Helen Wilks was flanked by players Jennifer Cowan and Alexis Wilks serving up Polled Pork. Julia Gentile of Palgrave was one of the students of Moura Music Studio providing entertainment at the show Saturday. Isaac Dyck and his son Carter, 6, were cooking food for hungry show-goers Sunday.
