Midnight Madness coming Aug. 15The Madness is always a good time for families when it hits downtown Bolton, and this year's edition promises to be just the same. Midnight Madness, the annual street festival hosted by the Bolton Business Improvement Area (BIA) is set to go next Friday (Aug. 15). BIA President Jimmy Pountney said many of the attraction from the past will be returning, including the popular petting zoo, inflatables, and demonstrations by the local firefighters and Caledon OPP, as well as street vendors and a variety of food. There will also be live entertainment, from such performers as Bob Parkins, Sarah Macrae, Bardos-Chicago Band, Liam Titcomb, Melanie Durrant and The Queen City Guns. Pountney said Queen Street North will be closed at 4 p.m., and the festivities will start at 5:30. If the weather proves uncooperative, he said the rain date will be Aug. 22. “It's always family,” he said. “It's all family fun.” |
