MIDGETS WIN REGIONAL SILVER STICK The Caledon Hawks midget ‘AA' team took the title in the Brampton Regional Silver Stick Tournament held Dec. 28 to 30. In the round robin, Caledon placed first overall, with victories over Duffield Devils, 3-2; Mississauga Terriers, 4-2; and Halton Hills Thunder, 1-0. The Hawks went on to down Newmarket Redmen 5-1 in the semifinals. The championship game was the fifth consecutive win for the Hawks as they beat the hosting team, Brampton 45s with a 4-1 score.
