MAYFIELD STUDENT TAKES BRONZE AT WORLD TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS Mayfield Secondary School student Rose Ramsarran worked hard to get to the World Taekwondo championships in Mexico, and it all paid off for her last Saturday. She competed in both the Junior Girls Individual and Team divisions. After an exhausting day, Rose stepped on to the podium for the Individual Division to receive the Bronze. She is the first junior girl of Indian decent ever to be sent by Taekwondo Canada to the World Championships, and is the first girl ever to receive a medal for Canada in the Junior Patterns Division. Rose, who's been doing Taekwondo since November 2009, trains at Mudo Academy in Brampton.
