Many concerts were at Belfountain Music Festival![]() Melville White Church on Mississauga Road was filled various eclectic sounds of music over several days recently. The event was the second annual Belfountain Music Festival, presented by the Belfountain Heritage Society. The first concert featured Zachary Ebin and Urszula Zielinski Brock on Violins and Mark Chambers on cello, providing a program that featured works by Bach. ![]() The Ton Beau String Quartet, consisting of Bijan Sepanji, Suhashani, Sarah Steeves and Alex McLeod, offered a program that included works by Haydn, Rowson and Ravel. ![]() Old-time country music and dancing was on the bill when the Golden Country Classics performed, consisting of Lionel Gidney, Ginny Plets, Jack Irwin, Sam Leitch, Ed Elliotson, Rodney Salisbury and Brian Stevenson. ![]() The series included a lecture on some of the musical instruments. Violin expert Jaime Weisenblum of Tutti Violini showcased violins and cellos, ranging in value from $1,000 to more than $100,000. Weisenblum spoke about the instruments, their history and what makes them so valuable. ![]() Selections by Mozart, Bach, Handel and Schubert were included in this performance, which featured Maria Dolnycky on piano, Anna Norris on bassoon and Julie Ranti on flute. |
