Lots of pancakes eaten at dinners in Caledon to mark Shrove Tuesday![]() ![]() It was a time for pancakes all over Caledon last week as people were celebrating Pancake Tuesday. Abbey Spiteri, who turned nine last Tuesday, was helping her mother Kim auction off pies at the end of the dinner at St. John's Anglican Church on Highway 9. ![]() Walter Jungwirth was serving up a big platter of pancakes all ready to be eaten at the dinner at St. John's Church. ![]() Local Cubs and Scouts were out in force to serve hungry people at the annual dinner held at the Alton Branch of Royal Canadian Legion. Seen here at the serving table are Ethan Firsoff, Jacob McGibbon, Caleb Firsoff, Thomas Coleman, Brandon Little, Sean Sweeney, Dylan Villmann and Vinton Overholt. ![]() Alton Venturers Alex Newall, Andrew Newall and Colin Villman were handling some of the cooking chores in the kitchen at the Legion hall in Alton. ![]() Caledon Seniors' Centre in Bolton had a big crowd out for their celebration. Margaret Hinton, Suzanne Ackers and Doug Ackers were busy on the cooking detail. ![]() Scouts Tyler Bollinger and Joseph Boccia were working hard to keep up with the demand at Mono Mills United Church. ![]() Reggie Simpson was assisting 1st Mono Mills Scout Kassandra Devita and Beaver Julianna Boccio at the serving table at Mono Mills United. |
