Blacksmith Ray Schindler was being creative in the forge.Photos by Bill Rea No two snowflakes are alike, and artist C.J. Shelton was inviting young folks into her studio to draw some of their own. Ayden Morrison-Wales, 8, of Orangeville was among those who did. Artist Paul Morin was watching as Nevaeh Klausen, 3, of Rosemont was using his wheel top create a work of art. Chris von Innerebner of Alton was creating this sculpture out of snow. Winston Uytenbogaart of Orangeville was demonstrating his ice carving skills. There was a track set up for young folks to slide down. Trent Salisbury, 4, of Alton found it was lots of fun. One of the high points of the Fire & Ice festival is the igniting of the fire sculpture. This one was created by Brian Oates of Erin, and it was inspired by how ancient mythology continues to influence collecting conscience and imagination.
