The crowd was out at Bethell Hospice in Inglewood last Thursday evening for a Celebration of Light and Love. There were more than 250 participants who walked from the Inglewood Community Centre to the Hospice facility for the ceremony. “We have gathered here tonight to celebrate and remember our loved ones,” commented volunteer Anton Vermunt. He added that as of the start on the event, it had raised more than $70,000.

Members of the Young and Heart Carollers led the procession, and performed during the ceremony.

Jake McArthur, who's daughter stayed at the Hospice for a period, and Elizabeth Birnie, daughter of Loran Bethell, who established the facility, spoke the names of people who were being remembered.
