Lengthy investigation results in several arrests


In the early hours of May 25, two males allegedly broke into a Bolton telecommunications store.
Caledon OPP reported that within minutes, general patrol officers initiated a traffic stop prior to receiving the call of the break-in. At the time of the traffic stop, the driver provided a false name. A further investigation revealed that the driver and the passenger were on conditions to not associate with each other. A search of the vehicle further uncovered break and enter tools. As a result, the men were arrested and held in custody until court the following day.
Caledon Street Crime Unit officers continued the investigation which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a telecommunications store in Toronto. Officers located a large quantity of stolen cell phones from the Greater Toronto Area and Quebec.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old man from Toronto was charged with break and enter, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of break and enter tools, breach of recognizance and obstructing police.
A 37-year-old Toronto resident was charged with break and enter, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of break and enter tools, and breach of recognizance.
A 30-year-old man, also from Toronto, was charged with 10 counts of possession of property obtained by crime, trafficking in stolen goods and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
A 26-year-old Toronto man was charged with eight counts of possession of property obtained by crime and trafficking in stolen goods.
