Kinsmen donate $8,000 to Caledon Parent-Child Centre

In the fall, the Bolton Kinsmen presented a donation of $8,000 to the Caledon Parent-Child Centre (CPCC).
Those funds were used to support CPCC's development of a Preschool Area in the CPCC Playroom.
The Kinsmen were invited back to the Centre Jan. 16 to officially cut the ribbon and open the CPCC Bolton Kin Kids Korner.
This designated preschool area has been designed to support school readiness activities for children who will be heading off to kindergarten in the fall. Cordoned off and gated to ensure the safety of toddlers, the new pre-school area is filled with materials that encourage emerging literacy, numeracy and science skills that foster imagination and simple problem solving in pre-school aged children. This space provides an environment that engages parents and caregivers in influencing positive child and family outcomes.
“We are extremely thankful for this generous donation,” said CPCC Executive Director Teresa Colasanti, who accepted the donation on behalf of the CPCC. “This gift will enable us to support school readiness and enhance early learning experiences for families who are embarking on the important journey of preparing their children for school. We want to thank the Bolton Kinsmen for this donation as well as their ongoing support of the CPCC.”

Those on hand for the ribbon cutting of CPCC Bolton Kin Kids Korner included Kin John Stegeman, Kin Joe Luschak, CPCC Executive Director Teresa Colasanti, Program Facilitator Carol Medhurst, Kin Robert Ward, Kin Lianne Pucci and Fund Development Officer Lisa Chin.
