There don't seem to be many Westerns on TV any more. There was a time when watching men ride the range on their horses was almost a staple of prime time. But all things have to end.
The 14-year run of the Cartwrites came to an end this day with airing of the last episode of Bonanza, Jan. 16, 1973.
