Inglewood Performers getting ready for ‘visual’ productionA feisty princess, who would rather be a knight than a lady, must harness all her skill and daring to thwart her evil uncle's plot to seize the crown in the Inglewood Schoolhouse Performers' upcoming production of Christopher Burruto's A Dark and Stormy Night. Directed by Kathie Maloney, the two-act fairy tale spoof will be staged at the Inglewood Community Centre March 23, March 31, April 6, and 7. Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with shows starting at 8. Tickets are $20. A March 24 dinner theatre performance, which is a fund raiser for the Knox United Church, is almost sold out. But there are plenty of seats available for the other four shows. With costumes by designer/seamstress Audrey Partridge and women's hats by Leslie Prior, plus plenty of sword fighting, the play is one of the group's most visual productions. The Inglewood Community Centre is at 15825 McLaughlin Rd. in the north end of the village. Tickets are available at Caledon Hills Cycling (15640 McLaughlin Rd., Inglewood) or by calling 905-838-2874 or emailing inglewoodperformers@hotmail.com |
