Husky Injection Molding Systems to match donations up to $35,000 to CCS’ Santa Fund

By Rob Paul

Husky Injection Molding Systems will match every dollar donated to Caledon Community Services' (CCS) Santa Fund up to $35,000. This represents a $10,000 increase from previous years in response to the rising need brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Each year, Husky Injection Molding Systems brings joy to Caledon families by supporting CCS' Santa Fund. Annually, Husky puts out a call to other businesses in Caledon to follow suit by committing to match every dollar raised. This year they have increased their matching donation from $25,000 to $35,000 in direct response to rising need in Caledon.

“Husky is proud to support the communities within which we live and work and have contributed to the Santa Fund annually through Caledon Community Services for almost 20 years,” said Stacie Kordts, Vice President, Human Resources, Husky Injection Molding Systems Ltd. “We recognize that many families in our local communities have been impacted significantly by the global pandemic and acknowledge the need for support is higher than in past years. We are pleased to increase our donation this year in order to ensure that Caledon Community Services may continue their important work in making the holidays brighter for community members by providing access to the vital resources and support they need.”

Everyone can make a difference through a Santa Fund donation, online at www.ccs4u.org or by phone at 905-584-2300 ext. 260.

The demand for help over the holidays and throughout the year with things like home heating and nutritious food continues to grow. More than 375 families will benefit from the generosity of the donations and CCS asks residents to donate early and take advantage of Husky's dollar for dollar match.

“We're grateful beyond words for Husky's annual support,” said Monty Laskin, CEO of Caledon Community Services. “Stepping up their support this year is a huge shot in the arm that recognizes increasing needs in our community during an extremely challenging year. Husky has been a community champion for two decades in their support of the Caledon community. Their generosity has a profound impact on the lives of so many individuals and families in need.”

The CCS Santa Fund helps to ensure those in need in Caledon have support during the holiday season. CCS asks for those who want to help either to make a financial donation, a nutritious food donation, or a gift card donation.

“It has been a struggle for me this past year to provide a quality of life as a single parent,” said a single mother of two. “I am so overjoyed and beyond grateful for the generosity and support you connected me with. Now my kids will not experience such a loss or disappointment from my financial reality, thanks to this aid. I cannot thank you enough. I wouldn't have made it without your help.”
