They played a tough game against St. Roch for a 6-4 victory, and then swept past D'Youville 11-1. Their two alternate lead players, Ryan Antiochus and Jonathan Quintal, are not only responsible for putting up the first guard rocks, they also take turns keeping statistics on the team's play. “Everyone has improved over the season,” Antiochus said. “Mike Triglav's delivery is really looking good, Chris (Dywanski) made some great raises and take-outs, and Will (William Gates-Crease) was curling at 80 per cent accuracy — he made some amazing shots.” And they are not just winning on the ice. All five members of the team achieved honours in their first semester report cards. Staff Advisor Erma Quintal keeps a close eye on the score entries, standings and upcoming games. “We have a big one coming up against Bramalea. That is going to be an exciting game,” said Coach Skid Crease, who believes the boys are ready. “They practice hard every Wednesday at Chinguacousy Curling Club, and they go into every game with smiles and positive attitudes. That's what sport should be all about.” Ryan Antiochos, Chris Dywanski, Mike Triglav, William Gates-Crease, Jonathan Quintal circle the house after their last victory.Photo by Skid Crease --------------------------------------------------- Images: https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/06-huskies-5.5-300x258.jpg --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2015-02-16 17:34:51 Post date GMT: 2015-02-16 22:34:51 Post modified date: 2015-02-16 17:34:51 Post modified date GMT: 2015-02-16 22:34:51 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
