Ceremony held December 14

The Alton community came together to share Christmas cheer last weekend. 

On December 14, the Alton Village Association and Alton Legion hosted their annual tree lighting ceremony event. 

Residents sang Christmas carols, counted down together before the tree was lit, and listened to Caledon's Town Crier Andrew Welch.

The tree lighting ceremony took place at the Alton Village Square, a quaint and beautiful park in the heart of the village. 

After the tree was lit, residents were invited to the Alton Legion for refreshments and fellowship. 

Santa Claus even came out to visit at this wonderful community event.
