Held each spring during national Hospice and Palliative Care Week, the hike is an important event for Bethell Hospice Foundation, raising awareness and funds for hospice palliative care in the community. The Foundation hopes to raise $130,000 through this year's hike. In response to last year's success, the 2017 Hike for Bethell Hospice has been amalgamated into one huge event at a new, larger location — Lloyd Wilson Centennial Arena in Inglewood. Participants will hike the same beautiful route as last year's event in Inglewood, but will enjoy a larger gathering space and more parking. The event features a balloon ceremony at 10 a.m., an accessible five kilometre hike along the Caledon Trailway, and a barbecue expertly prepared by the Caledon Lions Club. Registration is $25 and hikers are encouraged to gather pledges of support, and post inspirational message and photos on the memory board. Registration includes lunch and a limited edition hike t-shirt, and is fully tax receiptable. To register for the hike, or to donate to a hiker, go to foundation.bethellhospice.org On-site registrations will also be accepted at Lloyd Wilson Arena the morning of the hike, beginning at 9 a.m. Hike for Bethell Hospice is presented by Meadowvale Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Centres and The Simple Alternative Funeral Centres — Mississauga. The hike is also supported by Platinum Level Community Partners Brampton Brick, Cavalier Transportation Services and Scotiabank, as well as a host of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Route Sponsors. All proceeds from the hike benefit Bethell Hospice Foundation. Bethell Hospice is the only residential hospice serving Caledon, Brampton, Dufferin County and West Woodbridge. Bethell Hospice also provides Community Programs throughout Caledon and Brampton. --------------------------------------------------- Images: --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2017-04-27 15:36:03 Post date GMT: 2017-04-27 19:36:03 Post modified date: 2017-05-09 12:55:54 Post modified date GMT: 2017-05-09 16:55:54 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
