Harvest festival to close season at Farmers’ Market

Don't miss the excitement the harvest festival over the final two days of the 2013 season at Inglewood Farmers' Market.
The focus will be on apples Oct. 2. The final day, Oct. 9, will see the focus on pumpkins and squash. There will be a wide selection of each, preserves and demos, along with the bounty of the harvest.
Inglewood Farmers' Market is at the Inglewood Park and arena. Still on grass, by the river and with an on-site playground, the market square offers lots of room to play, picnic tables to eat on and great food to enjoy or take away.
At the market, patrons will find strawberries, greens and early local vegetables, lamb, meat pies, perogies, breads, preserves, curries, garlic, cured meats, sweets, edible plants – heritage, herbs and other varieties, ornamental and native species plants and more. Also, look for natural locally-made skin care products.
For eating at the market or for take away, look for lamb burgers, hot pies, samosas and perogies.
The market is open Wednesdays, from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
