Grand opening of Shine N’ Drive in Bolton celebrated with free car washes, ribbon cutting

Shine N' Drive in Bolton has officially held its grand opening.

Formerly known as Bolton Classic Car Wash, they look forward to being Caledon's first full-service carwash.

Manager Jagnoor Grewal said after serving the community for 20 years as Bolton Classic Car Wash, they repeatedly heard from the people of Bolton that they wanted an in-and-out service.

They began this journey six years ago and worked with the Town of Caledon to create the new car wash, ensuring that the original building and its heritage were preserved.

Grewal shared he used to be a Bolton Resident, often stopping at the once Crabby Joe's.

One day, his father said he had a project.

“Little did I know that my whole life would be involved in this car wash, it's a passion project,” says Grewal.

“Our dad and myself, when we had spare time, we would always try to make this car wash. We hand-built it. We hand-painted it. We spent a lot of time and effort.”

The car wash now offers both exterior and interior cleaning.

“We're hoping that Bolton sees this as an opportunity to allow more growth,” he says. “We hope that this shows a change in the economic development, and we want people to be proud to open up a business in Bolton. We want to see a lot of people come. We want to see new people. We want to see new businesses, and we want to see everyone succeeding.”

The day featured free car washes throughout the day, with local businesses on-site offering giveaways and freebies, including the Chamber of Commerce and Caledon Community Services. 

There were also multiple games and free food available for all to enjoy.

We extend our best wishes for your business success and growth,” said Mayor Annette Groves at the ribbon cutting.
