Garden Tour in King this Sunday

By John Arnott
Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly.
I gotta go on that garden tour in July.
Can't help lovin' that garden tour!
Tell me I'm crazy, tell me it could rain.
Tell me it might be hot and hazy.
Well I'm goin' just the same.
Can't help lovin' that garden tour!
We just know you can't help but love Nobleton-King City Horticultural Society's Garden Tour this coming Sunday (July 13) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., rain or shine.
You're sure to see unusual plants and a good variety that will give you ideas for your own garden. Horticultural members will be at each garden to identify plants and offer advice on what plants will do well (or won't) in your garden.
Tickets, in the form of a maps showing the garden locations, are $10 per person and available in advance in Nobleton, at the Pharmasave in Nobleton Plaza north of King Road on Highway. 27; in King City at Guardian Drugs in the King Township Offices plaza on King Road, east of Keele Street; as well as Black Forest Garden Centre on Keele Street just below Aurora Road; and in Caledon at Glen Echo Garden Centre on Airport Road, just south of Caledon East. Tickets will also be available at each garden on the tour. If you choose not buy a ticket to see all the gardens there is a charge of $2 per garden visited.
