Fresh Flavours and Family Fun bloom at Garden Foods’ Spring Fair

By Riley Murphy

Local Journalism Initiative Reporter

Garden Foods is hosting their first-ever Spring Fair this Saturday, May 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside their store.

The event will feature vendors, samples, face painting, balloon artists, music, and a $200 giveaway from Capogna Flowers.

Their garden centre will also be open and ready to go.

Every vendor available at the event is Canadian.

This includes brands like Pasqualino, who will do a live pasta and sauce demo.

Other attractions at the fair will be vendors from Garofalo pasta and sauce, Vita Coco, Greenhouse Juice Co, Ritter Sport and Chocolate, Loacker Wafers and Illy coffee.

Tony Catinella, General Manager, shared how Garden Foods has been working behind the scenes to bring things forward to the community.

Over the summer, they will roll out a variety of events, such as local Italian Heritage Day and events in support of local communities and organizations, such as Bethell Hospice.

Catinella shared that this is a part of their overall goal of listening to the community, getting feedback from the community, and letting them know they care.

He said he hopes to get out there and interact with everybody.

Catinella shared that the event aims to invite everyone in the community this Saturday for some fun.

“We would be happy to see everybody and for everyone to have a good time,” said Catinella.

Garden Foods is located at 501 Queen St S, Bolton.
