The John Wayne Swingtet will be the featured performers tomorrow (Friday) night at CrossCurrents Cafe.
A French Gypsy named Django Reinhardt created the new genre of music in the 1940s, based on swing and improvising on French and other classic melodies. It became known as French Gypsy Jazz, in which the Swingtet specializes.
CrossCurrents Cafe operates at Bolton United Church on Nancy Street (use side entrance). The doors open at 7:30 p.m., with music starting at 8.
