Attendees of the AllPro Charity Classic golf tournament will be teeing off later this month to raise funds for the Orangeville Food Bank.

It will be the fifth time AllPro Roofing in Orangeville has hosted the charity golf tournament.

You can be a part of it all when the tournament gets underway at the Woodington Lake Golf Club near Tottenham on Friday, July 21. The purchase of a ticket for the event includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and lunch.

“We'll be supporting the Orangeville Food Bank again and making our donation to them,” explained Brier Davis, marketing director with AllPro Roofing. “It will be a shotgun start with a scramble format. We're hoping to sell out. We have prizes and local sponsors who have donated prizes, as well as raffles and other things.”

AllPro Roofing has done other tournaments, and they always want to keep everything involved with the tournament on a local level.

The tournament has been successful over the past few years. Last year it raised $23,000, and organizers are hoping to match or top that this year.

“We get invited to a lot of golf tournaments ourselves, and we do a lot with Diabetes Canada in tournaments in Toronto and Shelburne,” Brier explained. “The president of AllPro Roofing, Jamie Bates, is just a pretty generous guy, and he knows how hard things are right now for everybody, and he's always been a charitable guy.

The tournament will have lunch and registration at noon, followed by the tournament on the golf course at 1:00 p.m.
