Title: Fatality on Highway 9

A 41-year-old woman from New Tecumseth is dead after being hit by a car Saturday evening on Highway 9, east of Tecumseth Pines Drive.
Caledon OPP reports they were called to the scene shortly before 6 p.m. Nastaran Ghazanfari was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators attended the scene.
Police report the investigation is continuing and no charges have been laid at this time. If any person witnessed the incident, they are asked to contact police at 905-584-2241.
