She's also on the swim team and took part in track and field last year, specializing in the 100 metres and shot put. In the community, she plays U17 soccer in Dixie. The Grade 10 student lives in Cheltenham with her parents Katherine Stapley and Chris Lawton. Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary SchoolAbigail LaPalmeThis Grade 10 student played centre-mid for the varsity field hockey team, that went undefeated until the ROPSSAA semifinals. She's also active in cross-country running, and recently turned in a very impressive performance, placing about 20th in a field of roughly 300. Away from school, she's an equestrian competitor, show jumping through the Silver Fox Equestrian Club in Orangeville. The 15-year-old lives in Caledon East with her parents Robyn and Michael LaPalme. St. Michael Catholic Secondary SchoolAlessandro CostaThe 15-year-old played slot back and running back on the junior football team. “We did alright,” he said. “We could have done better.” He hoping to play on the school's soccer team in the spring, as a right back or striker. Away from school, he's a rep player in the Kleinburg-Nobleton Soccer Club and used to play football with Brampton Bulldogs. The Grade 10 student lives in Bolton with his parents Ida and Nick Costa. Humberview Secondary SchoolJulia CentofantiThe Grade 12 student played outside contain on the varsity flag football team, which won its last game. “We did well at the end of the season,” she said. She's also active in Nordic skiing at school, and plans to play rugby in the spring. In the community, she plays house league soccer in the Bolton Wanderers' organization, and she used to be part of the Art and Soul Dance Company in Kleinburg.
